Here it is friends.....the IBY 5 best albums of 2012. For us, these five records never left our respective music listening apparatuses throughout the year.

You have two, seasoned indie rock bands that released, in our opinions, their best albums as of yet. Next, we have a gentleman whom we all know and love from his previous work with a number of bands, release a solo record which hardly disappointed. Then we move over into the hip hop realm, only to discover that a kid from Compton, CA released one of the most mindful and unexpected albums of the year. Lastly, we have a young man who put out an album this year that completely changed the game as far as R & B is concerned.
