The next big thing in hip-hop is here and we are delighted to be brining it to you on this fantastic day in the music blogosphere. Last night we were put on to the likes of Kris Kasanova via our Columbia College Chicago alumni at Gild Creative Group (now based in NYC).

Kris Kasanova was born and raised in the Red Hook projects of Brooklyn, NY. Learning to rap by way of his step-father, Kris was invited to sit in on studio sessions with him since the ripe young age of 10 years old. Kris's skills started to take shape around 17, and now his career in hip-hop is finally coming together for what looks like, years to come.

Now working with one of the best DJ/Producers on the lower east side called Ibe, the collaboration between the two collectively launched The Home Skool, a joint venture artist collective creative project based in the Big Apple.

Kris Kasanova is what we all want back in the hip-hop scene. Ingenuity and incredible stories; paired with impeccable rhyming skills. The production quality is top-notch and resembles a skill level in beat making that can be compared to some of the greatest hip-hop producers of our time.

Kris Kasanova and his producer Ibe have it all together. Everything is thought-provoking and professionally done. While you may be able to tell who some of their influences are; these guys are doing something that is wholesome, original and the music will be sure to span the test of time.
